You may launch Appliance-Manager and get an "upgrade" message.
This occurs because updated versions of Appliance-Manager are automatically downloaded to customer appliances via the St. Bernard Software update servers (IUS Servers), as the new versions become available. Note: Newer versions of Appliance-Manager are always backwards compatible. Upgrading the Appliance-Manager should not impact the ability to manage existing appliances.
The logic causing the upgrade message is:
The current Appliance Manager sends a message asking all appliances to respond with their IP address and serial number.
When the ePrism or iPrism appliance receives the message it will either respond with the appropriate information, or if it determines that the sending Appliance Manager is now an older version compared to what is now available, it will respond automatically with the upgrade message.
