When ePrism is placed in parallel to a firewall, where one interface is public and the other is private, it must use the same gateway as the firewall, which will be the router to the ISP. ePrism should request DNS services from internal servers first, if available, otherwise, external servers should be selected. Please see accompanying diagram.
