Why are internal messages being classified by STA, DCC?

Applies To: Models 1000, 2000, 3000

Internal mail sources that do not reside on the same local subnet/local network as ePrism are considered by default to be untrusted mail sources. When these internal mail sources attempt delivery to ePrism designated as the smart host, all messages will be scanned for SPAM.

For v5.0, those mail sources that are not part of the local subnet to ePrism, must be specified within Pattern Based Message Filtering (PBMF) as trusted mail sources.

Message Part: Client IP
Pattern Option:
Matches
Pattern:
10.5.6.7
Action:
Trust.

Note: Once specified, messages will not be scanned for SPAM and valid message signatures will be created for STA.

For v6.0, those mail sources that are not part of the local subnet to ePrism, must be specified within SAP as trusted mail sources, see:

How are mail sources determined as trusted vs. non-trusted?
