How do I use the Knowledgebase?

The Header

Near the top of the home page, you'll see hyperlinked logo's for our other products. This provides easy access to all our product knowledgebases for those customers who use multiple St. Bernard Software products, or for those who are curious about our other offerings. Other graphics go to our web site home page, or to the tech-support home page.

Organization

Because the architecture of the ePrism appliances differs between the Enterprise Models (1000, 2000, 3000) and the Small/Medium Business Models (500), the articles are segregated into two major groups.

The Diagram

The diagram is a visual way to get a quick overview of the network resources an ePrism 500 integrates with. This is a good way to get a quick technical introduction to the product, with links to articles in the "Topology" folder.

Home Page Links

The home-page links are grouped and are questions the user would ask, or has asked. You can also navigate articles using the navigation pane on the left. Material can be introductory, explanatory, or address a specific problem. Troubleshooting explains why you get certain dialogue box messages, statuses, error messages, or error numbers, or what is means when you observe certain symptoms.

Articles all have a reference number at the bottom ... "EPxxxx". This number is included with the home page links for easy search and reference.

Use F11 to maximize your browser viewing area to full-screen mode.

Search

Use CTRL-F to do a find on a particular word any individual article.

Use the navigation pane to SEARCH.

Use "and" to narrow your search if you get too many hits, or select more specific words.

You may also use "and 500", or "and 1000", or "and 2000" or "and 3000" to make your search model specific. Each article says "Applies To: model-number" in the content.

Searching by article number is quick and precise ... ie., "EPxxxx". Refer to articles by number when sending email.
